Erick D. Stowe

For 34 years, Mr. Stowe's legal practice has been concentrated in the areas of local government law and tax-exempt financing, including traditional governmental bonds, refunding bonds, tax, revenue and bond anticipation notes and tax-exempt leases, including certificates of participation, private activity bonds, including industrial and commercial development revenue bonds, exempt facility revenue bonds (e.g., sewage and solid waste disposal revenue bonds), higher education and health care revenue bonds and multi-family housing revenue bonds. He is experienced as bond, underwriter's, issuer's and trustee's counsel, for both private placements and public offerings and with municipal securities regulation and disclosure matters, state and local statutory, charter and constitutional matters and federal and state income tax matters. He is also seasoned in fixed, variable and adjustable interest rate transactions, including tender option bonds, and in transactions utilizing bank letters of credit (both collateralized and unsecured), insurance company surety bonds, municipal bond insurance and other financial guarantees as collateral security. Mr. Stowe also has considerable experience in advising brokers of public funds in legal investments and has assisted in the creation of a pooled investment trust for Colorado public agencies. Mr. Stowe has extensive legislative drafting experience, including serving as the primary draftsman of the Colorado Public Securities Refunding Act.

Mr. Stowe is a former member of the Cherry Creek Educational Improvement and Accountability Advisory Committee for the Cherry Creek School District and the Boards of Directors of Colorado Swimming, Inc. and the America-Israel Friendship League. During 1994, Mr. Stowe served, at the request of the Mayor, on the City and County of Denver Winter Park Task Force and in 1995/96 he served as the chair of the Broncos Committee of the Mayor's Sports Facilities Task Force. Mr. Stowe currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Nine Health Services, Inc., the sponsor of the Nine Health Fairs.
